What is Inference and Analysis?
What is Inference? Inference is when you use clues from a text, along with your own knowledge and experiences, to understand something that isn’t directly stated. For example, if a character in a story is shivering and wearing a coat, you can infer that it is cold outside, even if it doesn’t say so.
What is Analysis? Analysis involves examining a text closely to understand its meaning, structure, and elements. This can include looking at characters, themes, and language. For example, analyzing a poem may involve discussing how the poet uses imagery and rhyme to convey emotions.
